Upgrade when you're ready

Implants are the best solution for missing teeth. When you’re ready, you can save by upgrading select dentures implants.

How It Works

Dentures work by resting on your gums and any remaining natural teeth (in the case of partial dentures). They are crafted from a durable, lifelike material that mimics the appearance of natural teeth and gums. Partial dentures often use metal clasps to attach to your remaining teeth for added stability, while full dentures rely on suction and the contours of your mouth to stay in place. Some dentures can also be supported by dental implants for improved stability and function.

Your denture questions answered

What are dental implants?

Dentures are removable dental appliances that restore your smile by replacing missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Your team of Forever Dental denture experts can walk you through your options to determine which type is best for you.

What is a denture arch?

A single denture arch replaces either all of your upper or all of your lower teeth. You will need two denture arches to replace all of your teeth. Each arch consists of customizable teeth and an acrylic base made to a shade that resembles your gums. At Forever Dental, you can choose from a variety of gum and teeth shades that look as natural as your own—so your smile will, too.

How long do dentures last?

With proper care, dentures typically last between 5 and 10 years, depending on the durability of their material and how well you care for them.

Are dentures comfortable?

Dentures can take some time getting used to, but don’t worry, you’ve got this! Within the first few weeks of wearing them, your dentures will feel more comfortable as you practice speaking and even reading aloud. Of course, your Forever Dental care team with be with every step of the way, too.

Can dentures be worn while sleeping?

Your Forever Dental dentist recommends that dentures be removed at night to keep your gums healthy and prevent inflammation, bacterial growth or a fungal infection, such as Candidiasis which is caused by a variant of yeast called Candida, from forming within your mouth.

How do I clean my dentures?

Taking care of dentures is an easy process and will help them to last longer. It’s best to clean them daily with a soft-bristled brush and denture cleaner or mild soap. Never use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as they contain abrasives that can create small scratches on the surface of your denture, making it prone to staining and bacterial build-up. If you need further guidance, our team can help you find denture-friendly supplies at an Forever Dental near you.

How do I know if dentures are right for me?

If you have missing teeth and are ready to restore your smile at an affordable price, dentures can be a great option. Schedule a consultation with your Forever Dental dentist near you to discuss your options.

Are there different types of dentures?

Dental implants can provide a lifetime of benefits, including improved oral health, increased confidence and self-esteem, and better functionality and comfort compared to traditional dentures or bridges.

Are there any downsides to dental implants?

Implants require a surgical procedure and may cost more upfront than other options, but they offer unmatched durability, comfort, and long-term value.

How do I adjust to eating with dentures?

As you adjust to your new dentures, we recommend starting with soft foods and cutting them into small pieces. It’s best to chew slowly and use both sides of your mouth to distribute pressure evenly. For more tips, visit our eating with dentures resource or discuss tips with your Forever Dental care team can provide more insight into living with your new smile as you heal.

Do I need to replace my dentures periodically?

Yes, you may need to replace your dentures every 5 to 10 years, as the shape of your mouth changes over time. General wear and tear also factor into the longevity of your smile. Your Forever Dental dentist can advise you on when it’s time for new dentures.

Dr. Patel is amazing. She saved one of my molars when I was told somewhere else it had to be pulled. She did a crown which fit perfectly. I haven't had any issues with my crown. I often forget I had one done. She is thorough, and makes you feel so comfortable. I never liked going to the dentist but Dr. Patel makes me look forward to seeing her. I live in the south suburbs and she is worth the drive.

I’ve been a patient here since about 2011, there was a transition with Doctor Daisy leaving the office. I met with the new dentist that took over my file & there are some new staff members but it remains a great experience for me. I appreciate them and addressing my concerns and answering questions.
