Treatable Bite Issue Cases

Crossbite

When you bite down, do your top teeth position themselves inside your bottom teeth? If so, you may have what’s known as a crossbite.

Fix crooked teeth or generally straighter teeth. Teeth straightening is a general term used to describe an orthodontic process that corrects irregularities of the teeth. These irregularities tend to be caused by a malocclusion, which is a misalignment of your teeth and bite.

Crowded Teeth

Teeth crowding is the general term used to describe teeth that are packed too tightly in the jaw. When teeth run out of space, they start pressing together and shifting in front of and behind one another, resulting in crooked or overlapping teeth.

Gap Teeth

Gap teeth, called diastema, are extremely common. Some consider a gap between their teeth to be their signature feature. But, for others, spaced teeth can cause aesthetic concerns or even signal an underlying problem if the gap between teeth is getting bigger.

Underbite

An underbite is when you close your mouth and your lower front teeth are in front of your upper teeth. In many cases, this is actually a problem with your lower jaw being too far forward.

Overbite

An overbite is when the upper front teeth cover more of the lower front teeth than would usually be considered ‘ideal’. Dentists refer to overbite teeth as a type of malocclusion.

Open Bite

If your upper and lower teeth don’t touch when your mouth is closed, your doctor calls this an open bite.

I recently visited Forever Dental for my first appointment at the facility , and I couldn’t be more impressed! From the moment I walked in, the office staff, Yessenia and Karla were welcoming and professional, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free, which immediately put me at ease.
Dr. Dhake and the hygienist, Karla, took the time to explain everything in detail, from the x rays, exam process to the treatment plan. They were gentle, thorough, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I even was offered essential oils -lavender- to help calm my nerves, it helped to relax me and I will use it again next time I visit, I also appreciated how they answered all my questions without making me feel rushed. They were accommodating to my schedule and were able to fit in an X-rays, exam, cleaning and dental work-cavity treatments all in one visit.
